The Micah Children’s Academy provides a warm, enriching environment where children aged six weeks through Pre-K can actively discover and scaffold their learning.

The school is conveniently located on a beautiful, lush green property at the corner of Old Hickory Boulevard and Hillsboro Pike serving the communities of Nashville, Brentwood, and Franklin.

Our students enjoy a play-based, emergent curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophies where nature meets curiosity both inside and outside of the classroom. Our educators plan and facilitate materials and activities with the whole child’s development in mind. Our goal is to cultivate a knowledge in each child that they capable problem solvers (and, yes, this work starts in infancy)!

The Micah Children’s Academy Curriculum

At Micah Children’s Academy, we believe children learn best in an environment that inspires curiosity and creativity. Guided by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, hands-on experiences, and Jewish values, our programs serve children from six weeks through Pre-K.

We see the environment as the educator, designing spaces that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration. Our teachers scaffold learning—observing each child’s interests, building on their strengths, and guiding them through meaningful experiences in six key areas: physical, cognitive, social-emotional, linguistic, creative expression, and approaches to learning.

With a warm community, dedicated educators, and a focus on the whole child, MCA is a place where children feel comforted, loved, and ready to grow.
